Welcome to
the National Association for Uniformed Services and thank you
for visiting our web site.
For more than 41 years, NAUS has been the service-member's
voice in
government. Standing up for the hard-earned benefits of our nation's
uniformed services members, veterans, retirees, and their families
and survivors. Fighting for what you and others were promised,
while supporting a strong national defense.
NAUS is unique. It's
the only association whose membership is open to the ENTIRE uniformed
services family - all branches, all
components,
all ranks. We focus on taking your issues to our elected officials,
influencing legislation to ensure that promised benefits are
delivered.
And we keep you informed of what's going on - in our
acclaimed bimonthly
magazine, Uniformed Services Journal, on our web site, and
through chapter events and communications.

While we've had many successes over the years (like
TRICARE For Life and preserving COLAs), Congress and Administration
officials continue to face budgetary pressures that make them
look at cutting benefits for veterans, retirees, and even those
brave
men and women fighting the Global War on Terror today.
NAUS is
needed today more than ever.
In our recent member survey,
one anonymous respondent
called NAUS his "watchdog." I'm proud to be the President
of the Association that you can indeed call the uniformed servicemember's "watchdog";
sounding the alarm when the benefits of those who serve - and
have served - our country in uniform are threatened, and guarding
their
concerns with tenacity on Capitol Hill.
We all need a good "watchdog" - join
NAUS today, and
make your voice heard on Capitol Hill.
Sincerely,
 William M. Matz, Jr.
Major General, US Army Retired
President, NAUS
